ABOUT US
Survival Wisdom equips you with the flexibility to deal with challenging and unpredictable environments, giving individuals and teams a crucial edge in any situation across the globe.
Survival Wisdom was established in 2008 following a merging of talents and experience from founders Richard Pyshorn, John Hudson, Chris Smart, Alf Evans and Robin Christian. Each member had unique wilderness experiences and a combined 60 years of training people for, and leading them in, expeditions and operations worldwide.
Our instructors are specialists who came together in Cornwall at the UK Defence Survival School; their varied backgrounds include helicopter pilot, RAF navigator, parachute jumping instructor, force protection specialist and infantry soldier. Each of us has real experience of survival in extreme hostile environments, each of us has a story to tell.
These stories are what drive us to pass on our collective experience and knowledge to others. There are many “survival experts” in the UK; Survival Wisdom’s unique and decisive advantage is that we have done this for real and have, over many years, prepared thousands of people to confront and deal with danger.
